GIS PORTAL
Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to create, manage, analyze, and map all types of data. GIS connects data to a map, integrating location data (where an item is) with all types of descriptive information.
To use our interactive map, click on the GIS Portal here. This map, within Kaufman County, allows you to turn layers on and off to help you show what information you want to see. The map shows you what precinct, neighborhood, and school district you reside in. It also shows voting locations, FEMA flood zones, your cities ETJ (Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction) and other features. You can use the search bar to type your full address or PID (Property Identification Number) to find certain features within your property. Kaufman County makes every reasonable effort to assure accuracy, however, GIS data is in a constant state of maintenance, correction, and update.
