As of April 14, 2023, the District Clerk's passport hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Please check with our office as processing times may change due to court schedule. WE DO NOT DO EMERGENCY PASSPORTS.

For travel information, visit the U.S. Travel website or call the National Passport Information Center (NPIC) at: 877-487-2778.

For Life-or-Death Emergencies within 72 hours, call: 202-647-4000.

If you have already submitted your application to our office, you will need to check the processing status from the U.S Passports and International Travel.

Expedited: 2-3 Weeks

Routine: 4-6 Weeks

FAQs

What forms of payment can be used to apply for my Passport?

The US Department of State requires either a Check or Money Order to be attached to the passport application.

Check/Money Order should be made out the: US Department of State.

Do you take Appointments or Walk-ins for Passports?

We do not take Appointments. We only accept Walk-ins. Typically running Tuesday-Thursday 9:30AM-3:00PM, but please contact the courts for processing times Tuesday-Thursday.

Does your office Process Renewals for Adults?

No, the District Clerk's Office does not process adult renewals, UNLESS the passport has been expired for over 5 years.

What are the Current Passport processing times?

Routine Service: 10-13 Weeks

Expedited Service: 7-9 Weeks
