Mentoring Program
The Mentoring Program connects youth with positive adult role models who provide encouragement, guidance, and support during challenging times. Volunteer mentors from the community are recruited, screened, and trained to work with youth who may benefit from additional support, positive relationships, and constructive guidance.
Mentors serve as trusted adults who listen, encourage personal growth, help build confidence, and promote positive decision-making. Through regular interaction, mentors help youth develop life skills, strengthen self-esteem, and identify goals for their future.
Depending on the needs of the participant and the structure of the program, mentoring may take place in a variety of settings, including schools, community locations, county facilities, or other approved environments. Activities may include conversation, academic encouragement, goal setting, recreational activities, and other positive engagement opportunities.
The program's mission is to provide youth with meaningful connections to caring adults who can offer support, encouragement, and accountability while helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in school, at home, and in the community.
